Policy Overview

Cofinex maintains a strict jurisdictional policy to comply with international regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) laws, and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) requirements. Access to our services is restricted or prohibited in certain regions.

If you are a resident or citizen of a restricted jurisdiction, you are prohibited from using the Cofinex platform or any of its associated services.

Prohibited Jurisdictions

Cofinex does not provide services to users located in, or residents/citizens of, the following prohibited jurisdictions:

North Korea (DPRK)

Prohibited due to severe international sanctions.

Iran

Restricted under global AML/CFT compliance frameworks.

High-Risk and Restricted Regions

The following regions are considered high-risk or subject to specific restrictions. Cofinex reserves the right to deny service or request additional documentation from users in these areas:

  • Sudan & South Sudan
  • Syria
  • Crimea Region
  • Cuba
  • Myanmar
  • Venezuela

Sanctions Compliance

Cofinex screenings are performed against international sanctions lists, including but not limited to:

UN Sanctions Lists

Compliance with lists 1267/1989 and 1988 of the United Nations Security Council.

Local & Regional Lists

Adherence to local government-provided lists and regional regulatory requirements (e.g., EU, OFAC).

Policy Updates

The list of restricted jurisdictions is subject to change based on evolving international laws, sanctions, and regulatory requirements. We recommend reviewing this policy regularly for updates.
