Policy Overview
Cofinex maintains a strict jurisdictional policy to comply with international regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) laws, and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) requirements. Access to our services is restricted or prohibited in certain regions.
Prohibited Jurisdictions
Cofinex does not provide services to users located in, or residents/citizens of, the following prohibited jurisdictions:
North Korea (DPRK)
Prohibited due to severe international sanctions.
Iran
Restricted under global AML/CFT compliance frameworks.
High-Risk and Restricted Regions
The following regions are considered high-risk or subject to specific restrictions. Cofinex reserves the right to deny service or request additional documentation from users in these areas:
- Sudan & South Sudan
- Syria
- Crimea Region
- Cuba
- Myanmar
- Venezuela
Sanctions Compliance
Cofinex screenings are performed against international sanctions lists, including but not limited to:
UN Sanctions Lists
Compliance with lists 1267/1989 and 1988 of the United Nations Security Council.
Local & Regional Lists
Adherence to local government-provided lists and regional regulatory requirements (e.g., EU, OFAC).
